The Indian Super League's (ISL) 2016 edition is finally upon us. NorthEast United and Kerala Blasters go head-to-head at the Indira Gandhi Athletics Stadium in the Light of the East, Guwahati, in the opening fixture of the Indian calendar's most watched football tournament, on Saturday, 1st October, 2016.
Both teams seek to put behind an unsuccessful 2015 ISL, with neither of them having made the play-offs for the semi-final during the regular league. However, with new personnel bolstering their ranks and roar of their supporters base, two of the largest in India, spearing them forward the franchises seek to make their own indentation on the world's fourth most attended footballl tournament.
